WASHINGTON (October 31, 2024) – The Howard University women's & men's swimming and diving program travels crosstown to face American University (AU) Friday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m.

HOWARD
This is the Bison's first meet in two weeks since winning second place at the NJIT Invitational. Overall, HU won a total of 18 events (11 men & 9 in women).

AMERICAN
American is returning from a one-week break after dominating in their dual meet against Catholic University, winning 25 out of 26 events.
Key contributors for the men included seniors Aidan Delehanty (Free/Fly/Breaststroke), junior Colin Clough (Sprint Free/Breaststroke) and sophomore Connor Florence (Freestyle/Fly).
On the women's side, seniors Laura Laux (Free/Back) and Amaya Tomma (Fly/Back) and Katie Yoo (IM/Freestyle), juniors Gabby Kaczorowski (Fly/Back/IM), Veronica Lester (Butterfly/IM), Grace Netz (Breaststroke/IM) and Peyton Thurman (Diving).
HISTORY
Last month (Sept. 27), the Bison faced the Eagles at the annual Potamic Relays, along with the Georgetown, George Mason and Mount St. Mary's teams.
The men finished in third place with two first-place victories in the 200 Medley and 3x100 Fly Relays. They also had two second place wins in the 3x100 Back and 3x100 Breast Relays.
The women placed fourth overall, winning the 500 Free Relay and earning second in the 200 Free Relay. Both relay teams were led by Morgan, Nwaeze, senior
Kelsey Roberson (West Orange, N.J.) and freshman
Gabrielle Vickles (El Dorado, Trinadad & Tobago).
For AU, the men's squad placed fourth while the women tied for first with George Mason. The women owned the relays, winning eight out of nine against Howard.
UPCOMING SEASON
Saturday (Nov. 16), the Bison will host Mount St. Mary's in a dual meet. The race will begin at 1 p.m.
