WASHINGTON (October 10, 2024) – The Howard University women's volleyball team will face rival Morgan State (MSU) Friday (Oct. 11) at 6 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 20), the Lady Bison meet Coppin State (CSU) at 1 p.m. Both contests are inside Burr Gymnasium.

HOWARD
HU (10-5, 4-0 MEAC) is currently undefeated in conference, looking to maintain momentum after securing victories against Delaware State (Oct. 4) and Maryland Eastern Shore (Oct. 6).
Junior outside hitter
Rya McKinnon (Hoover, Ala.) continues to perform for the Bison, totaling 23 kills and 16 digs in the previous matches.
Last weekend, grad transfer outside hitter
Aziah Buckner (Memphis, Tenn.) was a pivotal player for HU, tallying 17 kills and 18 digs.
Monday (Oct. 7), junior setter
Leah Reeves (Allen, Texas) was selected Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Setter of the Week for the second week in a row after tallying 55 assists against the Lady Hornets and Hawks.
MORGAN STATE
Morgan State (5-13, 1-3 MEAC) is looking to bounce back after a loss against South Carolina State, 3-1, Sunday (Oct. 6).
Junior outside hitter Daniela Ferreira recorded a match-high 17 kills in the loss.
COPPIN STATE
Coppin State, reigning MEAC Champions, (8-11, 4-0 MEAC) is currently undefeated in conference entering the weekend.
Junior outside hitter TaKenya Stafford led the Eagles with 13 kills and 16 digs versus North Carolina Central.
LAST TIMEOUT
In their previous matches, the Bison took care of business with back-to-back sweeps of Delaware State, 3-0, and Maryland Eastern Shore, 3-0.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Howard is set to play Norfolk State Sunday (Oct. 20) at 3 p.m. on the road.
