HILTON HEAD ISLAND, Sc. - Graduate Kyra Cox (South Salem, N.Y.) and sophomore Kendall Jackson (Pearland, Texas) are representing Howard University this week at the annual Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Golf Tournament, hosted by the University of South Carolina. 

Set at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, SC, the course proved slightly difficult for the Bison duo. Jackson, shooting eight over par (79), lands in a seven way tie for 73rd place after Round 1. Teammate, Cox, stands alone in 88th after hitting 14 over par (85). 

Both aim to work their way up the leaderboard starting tomorrow morning at 9:20am (Cox) and 9:30am (Jackson). Tournament coverage will be broadcast on NBC Golf Channel 2:30pm-5:30pm ET.
