ANNAPOLIS, Md. (February 26, 2023) – Howard University women's tennis team suffered a setback against Navy, falling 5-2 inside the Tose Family Tennis Center in Annapolis, Md.
Sophomores
Sifa Butcher (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) and
Nadia Pegram (Naples, Fla.) led the way with hard-earned three set victories.
Navy (8-3) grabbed victories in the other four singles matches.
In doubles, Butcher, alongside fellow classmate
Jordan Grayson (Gaithersburg, Md.), won their match, 6-4.
Navy claimed the other two doubles contests.
On March 3, the Lady Bison are set to host Georgetown at the WTEF's East Capitol Campus in Southeast D.C. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
