GENEVA, Ohio (February 24, 2023) – Howard University women's swimming & diving team remains in the third place after Day Four of the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships.
After four days, the Bison have accumulated 395 points.
Junior
Alana Josey (York, Pa.) and newcomer
Zuilda Nwaeze (Columbia, Md.) competed in the 200 Fly where they placed third (2:05.91) and fifth (2:07.12), respectively.
Second-year Bison
Zaylie-Elizabeth Thompson (Nassau, Bahamas) and junior
Michaela Spears (Chicago) represented HU in the 100 Breast, taking third (1:03.67) and fourth (1:04.22), respectively.
In the nightcap, Thompson, along with fellow classmate
Kelsey Roberson (West Orange, N.J.), senior
Courtney Connolly (White Lake, Mich.) and freshman
Kali Garcia (Altamonte, Fla.), participated in the 400 Medley Relay, earning fourth overall with a 3:50.45 time.
Central Connecticut State leads the field for the fourth consecutive day, scoring 513 points, followed by Wagner College (446.5 points).
The action wraps up Saturday (Feb. 25), beginning with the prelims at 10 a.m., followed by the final round at 6 p.m.
