WASHINGTON -The Howard University women's team will be looking to extend its current win streak to five, which would be its longest of the season, when they face off against Maryland Eastern Shore Monday evening in the Burr. The Bison (10-11, 6-2 in the MEAC) defeated Delaware State on Saturday, 57-42 using the scoring of the dynamic backcourt duo of graduate guard Aziah Hudson (17 points) and junior Destiny Howell (15 points) who combined for 32 points and also a stifling defense that held the host to 10 first half total points.

Hudson added three steals and three assists while Howell had one of here best all-around games of the season, contributing a career-record six assists, two blocks, and two steals.

During the recent streak, the Bison have been helped by the return of senior forward Krislyn Marsh who contributed five points, a game-high six rebounds, and two steals.

The Bison defeated UMES (5-16, 1-6 in the MEAC), 56-47 on January 9th in Princess Anne, MD. The Hawks have dropped three in a row, the latest a heartbreaking 53-51 home defeat to Norfolk State on Saturday.

UMES is led by freshman guard Jaa  Bannerman (8.5 points per game), sophomore forward Kiarra Kennedy (8.1 ppg) and junior guard Zamara Haynes (7.3 ppg, team-leading 46 assists).

SERIES RECORD: Howard has won two in a row to lead the series, 20-15 since 2005.
