Â
The Hornets, however, refused to go away. They put together an eight-play drive and moved the ball smartly down to the Bison 34. But on a first and 20 from the Howard 24, the Hornets tried a flea flicker. But the alert Bison,
Ray Williams, in particluar, was not fooled and made the play of the game, picking the pass of and returning it the Howard 34. From there, Hunter put the game away with his power runs.
