WASHINGTON (March 16, 2022) – Howard University softball team lost to Binghamton, 10-1, in Wednesday's nonconference showdown at Washington Nationals Youth Academy in southeast D.C.
 
On the night, HU registered one run on six hits.
 
Binghamton took an early 2-0 advantage, but junior 
Natalie Davila capitalized on a wild pitch and the cut in half after two innings, 2-1.
 
Top four, the Bearcats exploded for six runs and ballooned the margin to seven after four innings of play, 8-1.
 
In the seventh, Binghamton add two insurance runs, thanks to a pair of solo homers.
 
Allison L'Ameoreaux tossed a gem, throwing seven innings while striking out eight Bison in the victory.
 
On March 18-19, Howard opens league play against Norfolk State. Friday's doubleheader starts at 11 a.m. and Saturday's single game begins at 2 p.m. All three contests will take place at Washington Nationals Youth Academy.
