WASHINGTON (October 5, 2022) – The Howard University Women's soccer team travels to Brookville, New York for Thursday's conference matchup against Long Island University (LIU) for a 1 p.m. kickoff at LIU Soccer Park.

MATCHUP PREVIEW
Thursday's game will be the first matchup since the Bison's 2-0 win over the Sharks last season.
HOWARD
The Howard Bison (0-9-1, 0-4 NEC) will be seeking their first win of the season after several close matches in the season thus far.
Sophomore
Rachel Asare (Tampa, Fla.) has contributed a goal in the past two matches for the Bison and was recently named to the Northeastern Conference (NEC) Prime Performers.
LIU
LIU is coming into Thursday's match fresh off a 5-0 loss to Temple University, bringing their overall record to 3-7-3 (1-1-2 NEC).
Jaylin Counts leads the Shark attack with seven total points (three assists & two goals).
LAST TIMEOUT
Sunday (Oct. 2), Howard fell short in conference standoff against Sacred Heart, 5-2.
Asare and freshman
Saliyah Brady (Carmel, Ind.) both kept Howard in the game, each scoring a goal in the loss.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Oct. 9, the Bison will take on Central Connecticut State University at Greene Stadium for a 11 a.m. kickoff, followed by a nonconference match Monday (Oct. 10) versus South Carolina State University at 4 p.m. on Senior Night.
