STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (October 27, 2022) – Howard University women's soccer team closed out its 2022 campaign with a 0-0 tie at Wagner.
HU had more shot attempts than the Seahawks, 21-10, but were unable to get a ball across. Second-year Bison
Melea Earley (La Mirada, Calif.) led the way with seven shots (three on goal).
Junior goalkeeper
Kennedy Jones (Flossmoor, Ill.) finished the season on a high note, producing her first career shutout in the tie. The Illinois native also racked up three saves.
Gabby Cipriano had a team-leading four shots for the Seahawks while goalkeeper Sam Hughes recorded 10 saves.
Howard finished the 2022 campaign (3-11-2, 2-6-1 NEC).
Despite not making the tournament, head coach
Brent Leiba and the Bison look to rebound from this season and prepare for the 2023 campaign.
