WASHINGTON (September 8, 2021) – Howard University women's soccer team wraps up its two-match home stand Thursday against the Loyola (Md.) Greyhounds. Match time is set for 7 p.m. at Greene Stadium.

HU (1-1) looks to bounce back from a tough 2-1 loss against Longwood (Sept. 2).

Melea Earley (Whittier, Calif.) leads the team with five points (2 Goals, 1 Assist) while senior
Kenya Saunders (Ontario, Canada) and sophomore
Nyla Allen (Elmont, N.Y.) each scored a goal on the season.
LOYOLA (MD)
Loyola enters with a 2-3-1 mark and look to build momentum before league play (Sept. 18 vs. Colgate).
Senior midfielder Sarah Mirr leads the squad in points (4) while newcomer Baylee DeSmit tops the team in shots (14).
LAST TIMEOUT
Thursday (Sept. 2), HU came up short, falling to the Longwood Lancers, 2-1, at Greene Stadium.
With less than 10 minutes remaining, Earley scored her second career goal off an assist by senior
Thalia Boucher (Ontario, Toronto) and cut the deficit to one, 1-2.
HU picked up their intensity in the waning moments but ran out of time.
