WASHINGTON (September 25, 2021) – Howard University women's volleyball team returns to The Burr Sunday (Sept. 26) where they will welcome long-time rival Maryland Eastern Shore. Match time is set for 3 p.m.

HOWARD
HU (3-10, 0-1 MEAC) looks to get back on track before starting a five-match road swing, beginning in Baltimore at Morgan State (Oct. 8) and Coppin State (Oct. 10).
Freshmen
Bria Woodard (Missouri City, Texas) and
Cimone Woodard (Missouri City, Texas) spearhead the Bison, sitting atop the conference in multiple categories.
MARYLAND EASTERN SHORE
Eastern Shore (6-6, 1-0 MEAC) enters Sunday's showdown riding a four-match winning streak, including Friday's victory versus Norfolk State, 3-0.
Mauri Carver leads the Hawk attack, ranking among the league leaders in hitting percentage (.409/2
nd) and blocks per set (0.95/2
nd).
LAST TIMEOUT
Friday (Sept. 24), the Bison dropped its Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) opener at Delaware State in four sets (24-26, 16-25, 25-14, 19-25).
Woodard led the way, finishing just shy of a double-double with 13 kills (team-high) and nine digs, along with seven total blocks (match-high).
