Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (September 11, 2021) – Howard University men's soccer team fell on the road at Marist, 4-0, Saturday night.
With the loss, HU drops to 0-2-2 overall while the Red Foxes moved to 3-2 on the season.
Marist outshot the Bison, 16-6, and got on the board three times before intermission.
More than halfway through the first period, Marist's Stefan Copetti put the Red Foxes ahead, thanks to an assist by Skylar Conway and Kyle Galloway, 1-0.
Nearly five minutes later, Richard Morel scored on an unassisted goal and put Marist ahead, 2-0.
At the 35-minute mark, Marist's Jaime Justin delivered another unassisted and gave the Red Foxes a 3-0 advantage at the break.
Huib Acheterkamp added an insurance goal after halftime, assisted by Joe Mac, 4-0.

Duncan Dunkwu (Germantown, Md.) had a team-leading two shots in the loss.
Senior goalkeeper
Emery Simon (Elkhart, Ind.) registered three saves.
Tuesday (Sept. 21), the Bison take on VMI in Lexington, Va. Match time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
