BALTIMORE, MD -- Howard ends an impressive unprecedented 2020-21 season, run-ruling Coppin State twice, defeating the Lady Eagles 14-0 (5) in game one and 11-1 in game two to conclude the season at Coppin State softball complex.
The Bison finished the season winning the last six of seven games, started the season a program-best, 7-2. Howard came into the season with no fall training due to COVID-19, ranked top two, or led in all offensive categories, and sits atop in batting.
GM 1 - HOWARD WON | 14-0 (5)
Howard's Kiana Carr threw her second consecutive shutout, and the Bison's offense exploded for 14-runs to cruise past Coppin State University Lady Eagles 14-0 in game one.
The Bison scored the first run after a bases-loaded walk to take an early 1-0 lead. Luz Aguilasocho knocked a three-run double down the left-field line to extend the lead, 4-0.
Howard continued to apply the pressure in the top of the second inning, adding four unearned runs to expand the lead, 8-0.
The Bison added two runs in the top of the third and exploded for four runs in the top of the fourth inning off a Camille Navarro three-run home run to left-center; Raye Thomas added a run on a single up the middle for the final score, 14-0.

- Kiana Carr's strong season concludes with back-to-back shutout outings, pitched her 10th complete game.

Howard momentum continued into game two, defeating Coppin St., 11-1 (5) to conclude the 2020-21 season.
Camille Navarro opened the game two with a blast over the left-field wall to take an early 1-0 lead.
The Bison added two runs on a Luz Aguiliasocho RBI sacrifice fly and a Navarro RBI triple for a 3-0 lead after two.
Tracy Mosley got the nod in the circle and carried a no-hitter into the bottom of the fifth when Coppin St. recorded three hits and a run.
Howard blew the game open in the top of the fifth, scoring three runs on walks; Senior Trinity Gibbs ended her senior campaign with a bang, knocking a base clearing three-RBIs double to left-center giving the Bison an 11-0 lead.

- Camille Navarro recorded a hit in all but two games this season, recording a 17-game and 10-game hitting streak.
- Navarro recorded two-home runs versus Coppin State in back-to-back games. Ending the season with a league lead .421 batting average
- Te'la Beard returned to the lineup after being out due to injury and made an impact at shortstop, turning a double play and making impressive stops, and scored five runs.
