Howard returns to action since playing Delaware State Feb. 27, the South Carolina games were canceled due to Washington, D.C. travel restriction, and Delaware State Mar. 27, contest was postponed due to Covid-19 concerns in the Bison football program.
PREVIOUS MATCHUP
Saturday's matchup will be the second game between the two universities. Delaware St. took game one, 17-10. Howard took a 3-2 lead into the fourth quarter when the Hornets scored 14 unanswered points cemented by a 41-yard pick-six that gave DSU a 71-3 lead. Following the Hornets touchdown, Howard put together a 2-play 58-yard drive touchdown drive, highlighted by a Quinton Williams 47-yard pass to Jarett Hunter for the final score of 17-10. Howard appeared to have recovered the onside kick when officials ruled that the ball did not travel ten yards. With no replay available, the Hornets ran out the final minutes of the clock.
In the game, Williams, Q. led all passers completing 18 passes for 177 yards. Five rushers combined for 124 yards, led by Josiah Crute (59).
The defense took the show recording, six sacks, and holding the Hornets to 55 yards passing, completing 8-of-16. The Hornets rushed for 149 yards, averaging 1.8 yards a carry. The HU defense recorded 13 tackles for loss, led by Aaron Walker (six solo, two assists, and 2.5 tackles for loss).

Howard is 4-1 in the last five games versus Delaware State.
The Bison football program will recognize 21 seniors who will be suiting up for Howard for the last time.
