WASHINGTON (February 17, 2021) – Howard University Women's Volleyball team continues league play with a two-match series versus Coppin State (CSU). Thursday's (Feb. 18) clash will take place inside PEC Arena while Friday's showdown will be played at Burr Gymnasium. Both contests are scheduled for 6 p.m. start times.

HU (1-2) seeks to get back in the win column after suffering back-to-back losses versus George Washington, 2-3, and at Morgan State, 0-3.

Jennifer Bolden (Los Angeles) leads all Bison with 29 total kills while reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Year sophomore
Tamar Wells (Apopka, Fla.) adds 21 kills with a .304 hitting percentage.
COPPIN STATE
After seeing last week's conference opener postponed versus Delaware State, CSU (1-2) looks to get their first wins in league play while snapping their brief two-match slide.
Miajavon Coleman leads the way with 43 total kills while Chudear Tut and Jordan Celestine each have 30 kills apiece on the season.
LAST TIMEOUT
On Feb. 12, the Bison dropped their MEAC opener at Morgan State in straight sets (20-25, 18-25, 20-25) inside the Hill Field House.
Wells and Bolden paved the way with nine kills apiece.
Second-year setter
Kayla Diaz (Nanuet, N.Y.) had a team-best 17 assists while, defensively, newcomer
Amari Patterson (Waukegan, Ill.) added 12 digs in a losing effort.
UP NEXT
HU returns to action for another pair of MEAC contests against Delaware State. Thursday (Feb. 25) will be played in Dover, Del., while Friday (Feb. 26) will take place at The Burr. First-serve is set for 6 p.m. both days.
