WASHINGTON (February 10, 2021) – Howard University women's volleyball team opens Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play at rival Morgan State (MSU) in a two-match set (Feb. 11-12) inside Hill Field House. Both contests are scheduled for 6 p.m. start times.

HU (1-1) enters the weekend looking to bounce back after a tough five set loss at crosstown rival George Washington.
Freshman
Jennifer Bolden (Los Angeles) leads the squad with 20 kills while setters
Milexa Cardona (Kissimmee, Fla.) and
Kayla Diaz (Nanuet, N.Y.) have combined for 71 assists on the season.
MORGAN STATE
For MSU (1-1), they come in nearly two weeks removed from defeating George Washington in straight sets. Morgan State's lone loss came at Temple in five sets.
Tylar Roberson and Gabriela Hiciano spearhead the Lady Bears' attack, producing 21 and 20 kills, respectively.
LAST TIMEOUT
Tuesday (Feb. 9), HU fell on the road at crosstown rival George Washington in five sets (25-19, 25-20, 26-28, 15-25, 11-15).
Bolden led the way with 11 kills. Diaz produced a team-best 28 assists while freshman
Kendall Smith (Glenville, Ill.) added 16 digs in a losing effort.
UP NEXT
Howard continues league play with a home-and-home two-match series against Coppin State. Thursday's (Feb. 18) bout is set for 6 p.m. in Baltimore, followed by a Friday (Feb. 19) night showdown at The Burr, slated at 6 p.m.
