“Where Are They Now?” Featuring Meagan Fitzgerald

Former lacrosse standout turned anchor for D.C.’s Most Watched local TV station

WASHINGTON (June 11, 2020) – Meagan Fitzgerald played for the Howard University Women's Lacrosse Team from 2003-2007. Known for her stick skills, she played lower attack and was a consistent playmaker and lead scorer on the team.
 
After graduating from Howard University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, Fitzgerald was named Head Coach of the Women's Lacrosse Team at the University of San Diego before starting her TV career.
 
Fitzgerald is a three-time Emmy nominated journalist.  She's currently the Weekend Anchor for NBC4, the most watched local TV station in Washington, DC. Before returning to the District, Fitzgerald anchored and reported at the NBC affiliate in Denver, Colorado and Monroe, Louisiana.
 
About Where Are They Now?
 
The new weekly series of "Where Are They Now?" appears each Thursday throughout the year.
 
The series will feature former student-athletes from all sports and eras, highlighting their careers as athletes at the University and what they are presently doing.
