WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Howard Bisons fell 21-6 to St. Francis Red Flash for the second home game at Greene Stadium.
Today's called for inclement weather, but the weather turned out to be sunny for game 4. St. Francis started the match by winning the first draw and going straight to the goal. Still, Howard regained possession, and Freshman Midfielder from Charlottesville, Virginia,
Josie Mallory, stepped up to make Howard's first goal of the game at 29:25. Mallory also led her team in snatching up three draw controls.
Howard's lead scorer, a freshman midfielder from New Carrollton, Maryland
Quai Skeete-Ridley scored the second goal of the game for Howard at the 23:18 and assisted by
Sydney Kates, a freshman from Cleveland, Ohio.
Team captain
Lailah Robey, Junior midfielder from Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, ran the ball in straight to the goal to place the third goal in the back of the net for Howard.
In the second half,
Sydney Saunders, a sophomore attacker from Baltimore, Maryland, had a wide-open shot to goal, after causing St. Francis's goalie Lindsey Killian to turnover the ball, during a failed clearing attempt.
Freshman attacker
Sydney Kates, made her first goal this season, assisted by Skeete-Ridley, and would make her second goal, in the last minute and 25 seconds of the game, from an eight-meter.
Goalie
Andrea Fievre had 11 saves, protecting her team with a 65.6 percent saving average against St. Francis.
