MEN'S BASKETBALL
Unfortunately, the Howard University men's basketball team's run ended Wednesday (March 11) against North Carolina A&T State, falling 77-86. Senior guard
Charles Williams (Richmond, Va.) finished his Bison career with 2,404 career points.
Next season, head coach
Kenneth Blakeney and the Bison look to bounce back, led by 2019-20 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Year

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The MEAC Quarterfinals also proved to be the end of the road for the women's basketball team, losing 45-76 against Norfolk State in Norfolk Scope Arena. Senior guard
Ayonna Williams (Washington) finished the game with 10 points and four assists, leaving sophomore
Krislyn Marsh (Duncanville, Texas) to grab a game-high eight rebounds. Redshirt junior
Jayla Myles (Rochester, N.Y.) made her mark on the game with seven points and five blocks.
Coach
Ty Grace and the Bison finished with a 16-15 overall mark.
LACROSSE
On March 11, the women's lacrosse team fell at Mount St. Mary's, 3-15. Senior
Alayah Hightower scored all three goals in the loss.
SOFTBALL
The softball team hosted Saint Peter's for its home opener Thursday (March 12). The Peacocks took Game One 3-1, but the Bison took command of Game Two and won 8-0. Freshman
Taylor Ferguson (Elk Grove, Calif.) went 3-of-3 with a run scored and redshirt junior
Brooke Thomas (Detroit) followed sophomore
Sydney Hixenbaugh's example (Millstone, N.J.) from the first game by throwing five scoreless innings.
MEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING
The 2020 College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) National Invite Championships (NIC) were held Thursday (March 12) and the Bison gave several notable performances. Many school records were tied or broken, and the team managed to finish fourteenth overall, capping off a strong season.
During the 2019-20 year, HU shattered 22 school records, including 19 at the 2020 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Championships.
WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING
Sophomore
India Jackson (Philadelphia) and freshman
Ilena Bocage (Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago) represented the women's swimming and diving team at the CSCAA Championships where they competed in the 50 Breast.
Wrapping up this season, the team is excited to build on this success next year.
WOMEN'S TENNIS
Thursday's (March 12) competition against George Washington held some good news for the women's tennis team. Freshmen
Alexandra Blackwell (Austin, Texas) and
Hana El Sherif (Cairo, Egypt) won their respective singles matches, but the Colonials rallied to win the remaining singles and doubles sets, 5-2.
GENERAL
MID-EASTERN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
The MEAC decided to suspend all 2020 spring sports competitions in the wake of COVID-19. This is the MEAC's attempt at mitigating the risks of coronavirus as well as ensuring the safety of all participants, staff, and spectators.
