Series History

NSU is looking to make it a sweep this year after topping Howard 71-63 on the road on Jan. 11. The Spartans stretched their lead in the all-time series to 47-11 with that victory. They have won 18 of the last 20, although Howard won last year's meeting at Echols Hall, 98-95.

In Saturday's matchup, Howard will look to break a 16-game losing streak and ruin the Spartans chance at the number one seed in the upcoming tournament.

The Bison returns to action after dropping two last weekend in North Carolina.

Bethune-Cookman held NSU to just 22 percent shooting for the night (17-of-77), and the Wildcats hit 49 percent themselves in a 78-55 win over the Spartans last Monday at B-CU's Moore Gymnasium. Norfolk State held a 20-7 advantage in offensive boards and had half as many turnovers as B-CU (22-11) but could not capitalize.

Howard's CJ Williams became the All-Time MEAC leading scorer last weekend breaking a 29-year record.

Howard currently leads the conference in three-point percentage (33.6 percent) thanks to the play of freshman Wayne Bristol Jr.

(.426) and senior Nate Garvey (.383 percent).

The Bison leads the conference in assist/turnover ratio and third in three-pointers made.
