WASHINGTON (December 1, 2020) – Howard University Department of Athletics continued its "Bison 5@5" series where a member from the HU community is asked five questions within five minutes.
This week's guest features junior slugger
Kalita Dennis (Elk Grove, Calif.) from the softball team, who was interviewed by senior journalism major
Arthur Cribbs.
Dennis made an immediate impact on the program, becoming one of top players in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) during her freshman campaign. For her efforts, she was named 2019 MEAC Rookie of the Year.
Before her sophomore season, Dennis was named to the 2020 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Watch List; thus, becoming the first Bison in program history to be honored for this achievement.
Academically, the California native was named to the 2020 MEAC Commissioner's All-Academic Team.
