WASHINGTON (October 27, 2020) – Howard University Department of Athletics continued its "Bison 5@5" series where a member from the HU community is asked five questions within five minutes.
This week's episode features 2020 Billie Jean King Youth Leadership Award winner junior
Niah Woods (Cincinnati) from the women's track & field team, who was interviewed by senior journalism major
Arthur Cribbs.
During the 2020 ESPY Awards (June 21), former tennis champion and social activist
Billie Jean King announced this year's Youth Leadership Award winners where Woods took home the prestigious award. She was one of seven winners acknowledged for their dedication in their respective communities.
Woods was a two-sport student-athlete (women's basketball and women's track & field) during her freshman and sophomore years at Howard.
Entering her junior campaign, the Cincinnati native plans to focus primarily with track and field.
