WASHINGTON (October 15, 2020) – Cheyenne Curley was a four-year starter for the Howard University women's basketball team (2009-13) where she won 76 games under
Niki Reid Geckeler, including a pair of back-to-back 20 win seasons with the Bison.
During her collegiate career, she guided HU to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Title game twice while earning two postseason berths. In her junior campaign, Curley led the Bison to a single-season best 24 victories while ranking among the nation's leaders in steals and assists.
The team captain finished her career ranking second all-time in assists and steals at The Mecca, including the single-season record in assists. Curley capped off her outstanding career being named the 2012-13 Howard University Female Athlete of the Year.
In May 2013, Curley earned her Bachelor of Science degree in sport management.
After HU, Curley was a coach/camp coordinator at the I9 Sports program where she assisted in the planning and organization for youth sports programs.
Then, she coached at San Diego City College before joining Coach Geckeler at Towson University in 2014. Entering the 2020-21 year, Curley begins her sixth season at Towson and her second as an assistant coach on the women's basketball staff.
