WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Howard University men's basketball team returns to the hardwood to face the Rattlers of Florida A&M University in Mid-Eastern-Athletic Conference (MEAC) action. 


Howard (2-18 overall, 0-5 MEAC) is looking for their first conference victory is coming off a non-conference 89-95 loss to Yale, Monday afternoon. 


Howard's 
Kyle Foster sank two shots from beyond the arc to bring the Bison within 10-points with two-minutes remaining in a late-game rally that fell short. 


Florida A&M (5-12 overall, 3-3 MEAC) went 1-1 last week but remained perfect at home this season with a 66-57 victory over North Carolina Central. The Rattlers are looking to match its season-long win streak on Saturday at Howard as FAMU has won two straight twice. Florida A&M got a 17-point performance from
 Nasir Core and Rod Melton, Jr. as the Rattlers avoided the season sweep of NCCU on Monday. FAMU will be looking for its first conference road win of the season.

  • Kyle Foster recorded a career-high 19 points versus Yale, has scored in double-digits the last three games (Yale 19, Morgan St. 15, South Carolina St. 10)
  • Charles "CJ" Williams continues to climb the MEAC all-time scoring list surpassing Coppin State's Reggie Holmes for second place.
  • Howard is currently on an eight-game losing streak.
  • Howard won their first game versus Hampton breaking a ten-game losing streak to the Pirates on Thursday, Dec. 5 in Hampton, Va.
  • Howard scheduled three Ivy League opponents this winter (Harvard, Penn, and Yale) on campus.
  • The HU November road swing began Nov. 9 in Washington, D.C., at George Washington and concluded on Nov. 26 in Washington, D.C., at American University.
  • Broken Record: Williams broke Howard record for the most career points (1,933) formerly held by James Daniel versus Mount St. Mary's Nov. 30. 
  • Howard was picked to finish sixth in the 11-team MEAC for the 2019-20 season, according to a poll of the leagues head coaches and sports information directors.
  • Howard leads the MEAC in assist/turnover ratio (1.0) and ranks No. 3 in the MEAC in 3-point field goal percentage (.321) and No. 4 in assists (12.9 avg).
  •  Howard's last MEAC win came against the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats 80-71 on March 14, 2019.
