Smithfield, RI-- Bison's
Daniel Hart recorded his first career winning goal to lift Howard University over the Bryant University Bulldogs, Sunday afternoon at the Bulldogs Soccer Complex.
Howard improves to 1-3, Bryant falls to 1-4.
The Bison's
Andres Gomez recorded Howard's first goal of the season, to give HU an early one-nil lead at the 16-minute mark.
The Bulldogs answered back seven-minutes later, tying the game at one.
Howard's Joesph Abusada broke the one-one tie, putting the ball in the back of the net, with 13-minutes left in the first half.
Bryant outshot Howard 9-7 in the first half. Howard's
Carlos Caro was the star in the first half, recording five saves, six total.
Twenty minutes into the second half, Bryant tied the game, 2-2.
Howard struck at the 85-minute on a Hart connection to take cement the score, 3-2.
The BIson will be back in action Tuesday, September 17 at Greene Stadium.
