FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (August 6, 2019) – For the 13
th year, BOXTOROW unveiled its HBCU Preseason All-America Team where Howard University senior wideout
Jequez Ezzard (College Park, Ga.) was among the honorees. The announcement came Tuesday.
Last season, Ezzard, a 2018 BOXTOROW All-America recipient, led the country in yards per reception (26.6), while setting a new school record for receiving yards in a game (223) at Ohio (Sept. 1). The Georgia native ended his junior campaign racking up 1,064 receiving yards on 40 catches with 12 TDs.
This year, Ezzard has earned numerous preseason honors, including HERO Sports Preseason All-American, STATS FCS Preseason All-America and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Preseason All-Conference First Team.
Media members from around the country voted to select the 2019 BOXTOROW HBCU Preseason All-America Team.
