Tazim Wajid Wajed (B.S. '92) played safety for the Howard University Football Team while earning his Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising and Business Marketing in 1992, as well as post-graduate studies in Athletic Administration.

Some of his many distinctions are being the first Bison athlete to be named to the GTE Academic All-America Team, being inducted into Howard's Athletic Hall of Fame ('05) and being selected as a lifetime member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.

In 1993, he was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the NFL Draft. Wajed had a successful seven-year career in professional football and was named captain by two NFL franchises.

Currently, he is retired, but is very active in his community as well as helping his wife with their co-owned family business, UPLIFT Systems, LLC.

He is a member of Omega Psi Phi, Fraternity Inc. and spends his free time giving with other charitable organizations.
