@HUBisonFootball Adds Six More to the 2019 Recruiting Class

Six more Bison joins Coach Prince’s squad

WASHINGTON (February 7, 2019) – Coach Ron Prince and the Howard University football team added six new Bison to the 2019 recruiting class, bringing the overall total to 20 student-athletes.

"Howard University football took a major step forward," Prince stated. "We were able to add six outstanding student-athletes to an already historically strong class of 14 young men who signed in the early period. The class reflects our approach of signing student-athletes to address the current team needs while also attracting the best available."

Coach Prince congratulated and thank everyone for the support throughout the recruiting process.

"We would like to congratulate the families and coaches of these student-athletes, who did the hard work to help prepare for an opportunity to play football at Howard," said Prince. "Additional thanks to the many faculty, coaches, staff members & administrators that share in our celebration. Their love for Howard University and dedication to this recruiting effort was significant."

The class of 2023 features standouts from across the country while adding depth in all three phases: offense, defensive, and special teams.

"In some cases, we were able to build even more talent into our roster at positions that we are strong," Prince added. "These are high achieving student-athletes, exemplified by the seventeen state championships earned by these young men."

In this recruiting class, 10 student-athletes represented the D.C., Maryland and Virginia area.

"Howard is situated in one of the most fertile recruiting areas in the country [DMV]," Prince continued. "The class also demonstrates the esteem that the Howard University brand is held nationally by those student-athletes that chose to 'Come Home to Howard' from California, Texas, Michigan, Illinois, New York & New Jersey."
