LYNCHBURG, Va. (February 22, 2019) – Howard University's senior
KaSandra Kaplan (Detroit) and freshman
India Jackson (Philadelphia) took down more school records on Day Three of the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships.
Kaplan broke her own mark in the women's 200 Freestyle, clocking in at 1:52.42. For Jackson, she eclipsed a 19-year record held by Denyse Montrose in the 100 Breast. The Philadelphia native recorded a 1:05.79 time.

Madison Freeland (Glenside, Pa.) and
Myka Thomas (Philadelphia) joined together to shatter the school's 400 medley relay, posting a 3:52.99 time.
Individually, Freeland competed in the women's 200 Freestyle where she placed top 10 all-time in program history while Thomas also nearly broke the 100 Backstroke with a 57.44 mark.
Senior
Latroya Pina (Seeknok, Mass.) and junior
Leanne McMaster (Kingston, Jamaica) took part in the 100 Breast, alongside Jackson, where they displayed outstanding performances. As of today, McMaster has the third and fourth best times while Pina claims eighth overall in Bison history.
Other notable Bison concludes freshman
Simone Outlaw (Burlington, N.J.) setting a new personal record in the 100 Back (1:00.95).
Currently, the Bison remain in ninth place with only one day remaining.
