Richmond, VA (February 18, 2019) --- Howard men's tennis was defeated by Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), 7-0, in its third match of the season.

VCU improved to 6-4 on the season as they downed Howard in both singles and doubles play.

Howard was outscored 18-5 by VCU in all three double matches. In singles No. 3,, Karim Shokeir took one game against Philip Mobius but Mobius won the set. Cole Gittens was defeated by VCU freshman Rayane Stable in two sets.

The Bison are now 0-3. Their next match is Friday, March 1 at James Madison University. First serve is 1 p.m.
