BALTIMORE (December 7, 2019) – Howard University women's swimming & diving team capped off the midway point of the season with solid performances at the H2ounds Invitational, hosted by Loyola (Md.).
Several Bison etched themselves into the program's record book with top 10 performances.
Sophomore
Madison Freeland (Glenside, Pa.) and freshman
Courtney Connolly (White Lake, Mich.) each had a pair of top 10 performances. Freeland placed top 10 in the 100 Free (ninth-best; 53.62) and 200 Free (fifth-fastest; 1:58.05) while the Michigan native registered top 10 in the 100 Fly (third-best; 58.10) and 200 IM (fourth-fastest; 2:12.15).
Senior
Leanne McMaster (Kingston, Jamaica) holds the eighth-fastest time in the women's 200 Breast, clocking in at 2:29.32.
Second-year swimmer
India Jackson (Philadelphia) competed in the 100 Breast where she placed fourth all-time in the program's record book, recording a 1:06.85 time.

Howard returns to the pool in 2020 when they travel back to Baltimore to face UMBC in a duel meet. Saturday's (Jan. 4) first race is set for 2 p.m.
