WASHINGTON (November 21, 2019) – Howard University women's volleyball team seeks their fifth consecutive league title, 12
th overall, at the 2019 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tournament, hosted by the Bison inside Burr Gymnasium.
Howard's Drive for Five begins Friday (Nov. 22) when they take on No. 4 (southern division) South Carolina State. The action starts at 2 p.m. inside The Burr.

SEASON IN REVIEW
HU enters tourney play as the top seed from the northern division after finishing with a 14-1 mark in MEAC play. Furthermore, the Bison have been red hot, winning 15 of their last 17 contests.
Howard finished the regular season with a league-leading .205 hitting percentage.
Tuesday (Nov. 19), the MEAC uncovered its 2019 women's volleyball postseason honors where three Bison receive recognition: freshman
Tamar Wells (Apopka, Fla.; MEAC Rookie of the Year); senior
Kira Porter (Lake Tahoe, Nev.; All-MEAC First Team) and junior
Jurnee Tipton (Ypsilanti, Mich.; All-MEAC Second Team).
TOURNAMENT CENTRAL
On Nov. 22-24, the 2019 MEAC Volleyball Championship will be held inside Burr Gymnasium. Competition begins Friday (Nov. 22) at 11 a.m. with the first of four quarterfinal matches. Saturday's (Nov. 23) semifinals start at 5 p.m., and Sunday's (Nov. 24) championship finale gets underway at 8 p.m. and broadcast live on ESPNU and ESPN3.
