CONWAY, Ark. -- Howard University men's soccer team dropped their final game, 4-1 in their final regular-season tilt to the University of Central Arkansas Bears in Sun Belt Conference action.
The Bears struck first, scoring at the four-minute mark and added their second goal ten minutes later to take an early 2-0 lead in the first half. The Bison would cut the lead, 2-1 at the 17-minute mark, on a
Daniel Hart(Silver Spring, MD) goal, his second of the season was assisted by Joesph Abusada (Houston, Tx).
Central Arkansas was aggressive coming out of intermission outshooting the Bison 9-3, connecting twice to extend the lead, 4-1.
With the loss, Howard falls into a three-way tie for third place in the Sun Belt Conference standing.
With the win, the Bears won the regular-season title in their first year competing in the Sun Belt Conference and secured the number one seed in the upcoming Sun Belt Conference Soccer Championship.
