#18 Aggies cruise past Bison, 64-6

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Howard University Bison growing pain continues as they fall to the #18 North Carolina A&T Aggies, 64-6 Saturday in front of a sellout crowd of 21,500 at BB&T Stadium.

Howard dropped to 1-7 on the season and 1-3 in the MEAC. N.C. A&T improves to 5-2, 3-1.

The Bison's defense slowed the high flying Aggies' offense on the first drive holding N.C. A&T to a field goal. The feel-good sensation was short-lived as the fast strike offense struck with a 62-yard touchdown run to take extend the lead, 10-0.

Howard's offense then put together their best drive of the game using a combination of Williams' legs and his arm to convert four third downs on a 16-play, 78-yard drive. It ended with Williams running in from 12 yards to score Howard's only touchdown of the game. On the drive, Williams had 33 yards rushing and was 4-for-7 for 38 yards passing.

The Aggies went on to score 54-unanswered points.

N.C. A&T held true freshman Quiton Williams to 58-yard passing, completing seven passes and sacked him six times. Williams recorded a career high 80-yards rushing.

Kyle Anthony record watch continues, with his three receptions his total stands at 178, six receptions shy of tying Howard's all-time career reception leader Gary 'Flea' Harrell. Anthony is six receiving touchdowns to become the Bison all-time career leader.

Howard will return to Greene Stadium to face North Carolina Central University and their first-year head coach Trei Oliver. NCCU comes into the matchup shocking Delaware State, after Delaware State University tied the score with less than a minute left in regulation, North Carolina Central University freshman Brandon Codrington returned the ensuing kickoff 75 yards for the game-winning touchdown, as NCCU beat the Hornets 30-23 on Saturday inside O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium.
