MATCHUP PREVIEWS
HOWARD
HU (9-2, 6-0 SWAC) continues its stranglehold on the conference, winning 14 consecutive SWAC contests, dating back September 2018. Despite a 6-0 league record, the Bison only have a one-match lead in the standings with Alabama A&M (5-1) trailing.
Defensively, Howard has been outstanding, not allowing a goal in conference play since October 2018.
SWAC Preseason honorees senior
Alayah Hightower (Largo, Md.) and sophomore
Kendall Macauly (Toronto, Canada) lead the stout Bison defense.
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE
MSVU (1-10-1, 0-6 SWAC) enters Friday's showdown looking to snap its nine-match losing streak. Mississippi Valley State's lone victory came in early September versus South Carolina State, 3-2.
Beatriz Kretteis leads the Delta Devils with nine points (four goals and one assist).
ALCORN STATE
Like Mississippi Valley State, the Braves (0-12, 0-6 SWAC) are searching for their first win in league play while breaking a 29-match slide, dating back to October 2017. Offensively, Alcorn State has struggled, scoring only four goals this season.
