WASHINGTON (October 11, 2019) – Howard University Women's Bowling team begins its 2019-20 season Saturday (Oct. 12) at the Bud Whitman Memorial, hosted by Chestnut Hill College. The two-day event takes place in Reading, Pa.

Ron Davis enters his 14
th season and has a very good feeling about this upcoming year.
"I feel really good about this season," said Davis. "[We] have five returners, including four starters from last season, and picked up a promising freshman in
Vanessa Johnson out of Chicago."
Off the heels of an edgy season, the Bison look to make history during the 2019-2020 season.
Last season, the women finished sixth overall in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), making a run at the title during last year's conference tourney. The squad came up short in Game 7 against No. 5 Monmouth University.
MEET PREVIEW
Saturday (Oct. 12), the women will compete in five baker matches, starting at 11 a.m. The competition features Molloy College, Caldwell University, Mount St. Mary's University, Mount Aloysius College, and the host Kutztown University.
Competition then continues Sunday (Oct. 13) with five traditional style matches where the Lady Bison will meet Long Island University- Brooklyn, Felician College, Chestnut Hill College, Duquesne University, and conference-mate Coppin State University.
UPCOMING SEASON
On Oct. 19, the team will be competing in the Mount Shootout in Frederick, Md., hosted by Mount St. Mary's University.
