Houston, TX --- Howard women's soccer (2-6-1, 0-1-1) played in double overtime against Prairie View A&M (2-6-0-0) on Friday. The aggressive game was marked with fouls on both sides but ultimately, no winner prevailed. Howard outshot PVAMU, 17-14. Howard also had more corner kicks, 4-1. Both teams had six fouls.
On Sunday, the Bison lost, 2-1, to the Texas Southern Tigers (1-5-1). Texas Southern had back to back goals in the 21 and 22 minute mark of the game. That momentum did not deter the Bison. In the second half, Mekela Davidson scored the lone goal for HU as they attempted to take the win. Howard outshot Texas Southern, 11 to 8. Additionally, Howard had two corner kicks to Texas Southern's zero. The Bison fell short after a solid performance.
Howard resumes play at home in Greene Stadium on Friday, Sept. 28 for alumni night at 7 p.m.
