WASHINGTON (September 21, 2018) – After three consecutive road matches, Coach
Phillip Gyau and the Howard University Men's Soccer team return to Greene Stadium where they begin their three-match home stand against Robert Morris (RMU). Match time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Also, Saturday's promotion is Community Day where Coach Gyau and the Bison welcome members of the community to the match. Entry is FREE and all are welcome.
LAST TIMEOUT
Wednesday (Sept. 19), for the third consecutive match, the Bison erased an early deficit and finished its three-match road swing with a 2-2 draw at UMBC.
The duo of senior
Victor Guirma (New Paltz, N.Y.) and junior
Andres Gomez (Silver Spring, Md.) led the comeback, each registering a goal in the tie.

Carlos Caro (Silver Spring, Md.) stopped a season-high eight shots in the draw.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Saturday's match will be the sixth meeting between Howard and Robert Morris, dating back to 2013, with the Colonials leading the all-time series, 4-0-1.
Last season, RMU scored twice in the final 10 minutes to down HU, 2-1. In 2016, both squads tied at "The Mecca" after the Colonials delivered a match-tying goal in the waning moments of regulation.
HOWARD
HU (1-3-2) comes in looking to remain undefeated at Greene Stadium after picking a season opening victory against Bryant, 2-1. Guirma continues its hot streak for the Bison, scoring four goals on the year. Gomez is second on the squad with three goals. Caro, 2018 Sun Belt Preseason All-Conference selection, has started all six matches, posting a .629 save percentage.
ROBERT MORRIS
Robert Morris (1-6-1) wraps up its nonconference schedule with Howard. Wednesday (Sept. 19), the Colonials fell to crosstown rival Duquesne, 4-1. RMU was picked to finish sixth in the annual Northeast Conference (NEC) Preseason Coaches' Poll. Zac Sherman leads the squad with seven points (three goals and an assist), followed by Owen Pearce registering six points (two goals and two assists).

Saturday (Sept. 29), the Bison continue its home stand against Virginia Military Institute (VMI). Match time is slated for 5 p.m.
