The Bison Express Athletic Fund Mission...
The mission of the Bison Express Athletic Fund is to provide fiscal support and assistance to Howard University student-athletes and provide support for all other HU Athletics initiatives. HU is the alma mater of many outstanding alumni in athletics, include standouts Antione Bethea, David Oliver, Ronald Bartell, Larry Spriggs, Bubba Morton, Shaka Hislop and Pep Hamilton.

Get Involved...
Elected alumni and volunteers collaborate with the Howard University Department of Athletics to serve the HU community as philanthropic ambassadors for all athletic programs. Responsibilities of the Board...

Make personal financial contributions annually to the organization

Be informed about the organization's mission, services, policies and programs currently in effect

Inform others about the organization and solicit new members

Participate in board and committee meetings and functions such as special events

Serve on committees or task forces and offer to take on special assignments

Review agenda and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings

Suggest possible nominees to the board who can make significant contribution to the work of the board and the organization

Keep update-to-date on developments in the organization's field and make recommendations on how to improve the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the Bison Express

Follow conflict of interest and confidentiality policies of the University

Follow and adhere to the bylaws of the Bison Express

Refrain from making special requests of the University Staff

Assist the board in carrying out its fiduciary responsibilities
