LAST TIMEOUT
No. 6 Richmond jumped out to an early 14-0 lead after one and never looked back as they defeated the Howard Bison, 68-21, at Robins Stadium.
Jequez Ezzard finished with two receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown in the loss.
MATCHUP PREVIEW
This weekend's contest marks the fourth consecutive road game to begin the 2017 campaign for B-CU (1-2). Bethune-Cookman has won six consecutive games against Howard, and has not lost to the Bison in the Nation's Capitol since 1996. Junior linebacker Marquis Hendrix led the Wildcats a week ago at Florida Atlantic with a personal-best 10 tackles.
After tough sledding last week on the ground, HU looks to get back on track as one of the nation's top running games. Howard's rushing attack remains the best in the conference, averaging 202 yards-per-game, which ranks No. 27 in the country. Freshman quarterback
Caylin Newton leads the MEAC in rushing touchdowns (5).
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
After the bye, HU hosts reigning MEAC Champion North Carolina Central. Game-time is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Greene Stadium.
