RADFORD, Va. (September 16, 2017) – Howard Men's Soccer team began its three-match road swing with a 2-0 loss at Radford (RU).
RU controlled most aspects of the contest. HU took five shots while the Highlanders generated 13 attempts.
Andres Gomez had two opportunities, but came away empty.
Javauni Garwood,
Nigel Grant, and
Victor Guirma also took a shot in the loss.
Near the 33-minute mark, RU's Sivert Daehlie scored the match's first goal, assisted by Max Edwards.
Less than 10 minutes after intermission, the Highlanders' Kieran Roberts added an insurance goal to put the contest out-of-reach.
Robert registered a match-high five shots while teammate Evan Szklennik took four attempts in the victory.
Howard's road swing continues Wednesday at Virginia Military Institute (VMI). Match-time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
