WASHINGTON (October 7, 2017) – Howard Women's Volleyball team looks to continue its hot streak as they travel to Baltimore to face Coppin State (CSU). Sunday's match starts at noon.

Tuesday, HU defeated its crosstown foe George Washington in straight sets (25-21, 26-24, 25-17). Senior
Khaila Donaldson and junior
Tamia Dockery led the Bison attack, each posting a double-double.
The next night, Howard extended its win streak to three after pickup a four-set road victory over the Morgan State Lady Bears (25-9, 25-19, 21-25, 25-15). Donaldson, Dockery and freshman
Jurnee Tipton each registered a double-double in the victory.
MATCHUP PREVIEW
Coppin State (1-17, 1-1 MEAC) enters winless in nonconference play (0-16); however, picked up their first win of the season at Norfolk State, 3-1. CSU is led by Asia Stennis. The sophomore outside hitter leads the squad with 130 kills.
HU (5-13, 2-1 MEAC) looks to extend their winning streak after earning two victories during the week. Donaldson, reigning MEAC Player of the Week, and Dockery continue to spearhead the Bison attack. Offensively, the Illinois native has racked up 249 total kills on the season while Dockery leads the squad with 663 assists and 188 digs.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
HU begins a five-match home stretch, beginning with Hampton and Norfolk State.
Friday's contest begins 7 p.m. while Sunday's match is slated for 3 p.m.
Both matchups take place inside Burr Gymnasium.
