WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Howard men's soccer team continues its homestand with a 4 p.m. outing against Campbell on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at Greene Stadium.
The Bison (1-2) picked up their first win since October 18, 2014 when they defeated Virginia Military Institute, 2-0, on Saturday. Freshman Andres Gomez had a stellar game, coming up with both goals for Howard in the shutout. Redshirt senior Kenneth Hersey made four saves to keep the Keydets off the board.
Campbell (0-1) opened its season with a 4-1 loss to UNC-Wilmington on Aug. 26. The Camels were scheduled to face North Florida last week but Hurricane Hermine kept them off the field. With just a single game under its belt, Campbell's Helgi Thor Jónsson has registered the only goal for his team.
Tuesday's matchup marks the first ever meeting between Howard and Campbell.
