TEANECK, N.J. – The Howard University men's soccer team was setback by Fairleigh Dickinson, 4-0, on Tuesday night at University Stadium.
The Knights outshot the Bison, 22-7, forcing goalkeeper Kenneth Hersey to make seven saves. Howard only attempted one corner kick, while FDU tallied six tries.
FDU first tallied in the 7th minute on a header cross from Enver Caymaz then added to its lead on a through ball for Javen Palmer.
In the second half, the Knight doubled up on goals by Ahu Obhakhan and Wojciech Piwowarczyk for their 4-0 win.
Quentin Valiente had a pair of shots, including the only shot on goal for the Bison.
Howard hosts VMI on Saturday, Sept. 3 at 5 p.m. for its home opener in Greene Stadium.
