DETROIT, Mich. – The Howard University women's lacrosse team closed out the 2016 season with a 16-3 loss to Detroit on Sunday, May 1 at Titan Field in a Atlantic Sun Conference matchup.
The Lady Bison finished the season 0-14 overall and 0-8 in conference play.
Redshirt senior Darieal Wimbley led the team with five shots against Detroit and found the back of the net twice. Junior Asiyah Frank notched the final goal for the Lady Bison. All of Howard's goals were scored in the second half.
The Titans had three players with at least two goals, paced by Michaela Schwartz with four tallies.
Sophomore Natia Warren finished the season with team-highs in goals (25), assists (2), points (27), ground balls (32) and draw controls (34). Junior net-minder Jasmine Wilson made 128 saves and earned a .375 save percentage.
