WASHINGTON, D.C---- The Howard University Women's Lacrosse team faced off against Atlantic-Sun conference opponent Furman University (6-4, 1-0) in what proved to be an uphill battle for the Lady Bison who suffered a 5-20 defeat at Greene Stadium.
The Lady Paladins wasted no time, as their first goal of the game was scored with 29:43 left on the clock in the first half by junior midfielder Ashley Trice. Trice finished the game with 4 netted goals.
Eight other Lady Paladins would get on the board including sophomore attacker Meg Lingo and freshman attacker Abby Shields who both combined for 6 goals.
The Lady Bison would show some life as freshman attacker
Aaliyah Cash scored her only goal of the game with 22:09 remaining in the first half. sophomore midfielder
Natia Warren finished the game with 3 unassisted goals. Freshman
Natalie Payne also contributed one goal.
Junior goalkeeper
Jasmine Wilson recorded a season high 11 saves on the evening.
The Lady Bison now (0-7, 0-1) look for their first victory next Friday against Atlantic-Sun conference opponent Jacksonville University, in Jacksonville, 4PM.
