WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Howard volleyball team will conclude the regular season on Friday, Nov. 4 when Morgan State comes to Burr Gymnasium for the final Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) matchup. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Bison (22-5) are coming off a 3-0 win over Norfolk State on Wednesday night. Junior Jessica Young paced the squad with a career-best .647 hitting percentage when she connected on 12 of 17 swings. Classmate Khaila Donaldson posted 15 kills and sophomore Tamia Dockery added 35 assists. Senior Morgan Marlbrough had a match-high 18 digs.
Howard continues to lead the country in limiting opponent's offense with a .128 efficiency.
When the two teams met earlier this season, the Bison snatched a three-set victory from the Bears in Baltimore. On that night, Marlbrough moved into second all-time in program history in digs.
This will be the final time Howard's six seniors; Janaya Hampton, Dominique Cleggett, Whitney Fields, Katherine Broussard, Briana Jackson and Marlbrough; will take the floor in Burr.
MSU has a 6-19 overall record and 6-4 MEAC mark heading into Friday's match.
