MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The Howard women's basketball team continues its seven-game season-opening road trip with a visit No. 21/25 West Virginia on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m. in WVU Coliseum.
Howard (0-1) tipped off the 2016-17 campaign with an 83-78 loss to Brown University last Friday.
Te'Shya Heslip paced the Bison with a game-high 23 points, including five three-pointers, to go along with nine assists and five steals.

The Bison shot 40.9 percent (27-66) from the field and drained 10-of-31 three-pointers for 32.3 percent.
The Mountaineers started off their season with an 88-38 victory over Charleston Southern. Lanay Montgomery, Teana Muldrow and Tynice Martin scored 17 points each. WVU moved up to No. 21 in the Associated Press Poll on Monday and is No. 25 in the preseason USA Today Sports Coaches Poll.
WVU has a 2-1 lead in the all-time series with Howard. The Bison won the initial meeting in Washington, D.C. back in 1981 by an 80-59 decision. The Mountaineers claimed a 75-67 win the next year on their home court. The two teams last faced off on Nov. 14, 2006 in Baton Rouge, La. with the Mountaineers winning, 84-61, at the Basketball Traveler's Classic.
