WASHINGTON, DC --- On Tuesday afternoon, the Howard women's volleyball team will travel north to Baltimore to take on the Loyola University Maryland Greyhounds. Khaila Donaldson played well in the Bison's opening weekend. Donaldson had 43 kills while playing in all three matches (12 sets), boasting a 3.58 kills per set average - currently fourth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. She also had a double-double against Georgetown (15 kills, 10 digs).
-Â Â Â Â Despite the team's 0-3 record over the weekend, the Bison were increasing more competitive as the games progressed - playing three sets vs American, four sets vs. George Mason and battling Georgetown in a five set thriller.

Briana Jackson had a solid start to the season. Both players posted double digit assists in every match, tallying 50 and 40 assists respectively. Dockery, who logged Howard's first double-double of the season (21 assists, 10 digs vs Mason), averaged 4.17 assists/set while Jackson averaged 3.33 assists/set.
-Â Â Â Â Howard's match against Loyola will be its final one before the Bison host the first day of the District of Columbia Classic on September 5. The two-day event, hosted by Howard and the University of Maryland, will feature five teams - Howard, Maryland, Western Carolina, George Mason and the University of Pennsylvania.
-Â Â The last time Howard and Loyola met was last season when the Bison defeated the Greyhounds 3-0 on September 9.
NEXT UPHoward's first match in the DC Classic will be against Western Carolina at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, followed by the day's final match against Maryland at 7 p.m.
